ARRIVAL BY TRAIN:

From venice Santa Lucia Railway station to Piazzale Roma : when you get off the train go to the end of the binary, pass the shops straight on, until you arrive to the main glass doors that lead you outside. Once outside, the canal you see in front of you is the GRAND CANAL. Go down the steps until you arrive in the esplanade. You will see on your left, the big Ponte Dei Scalzi which crosses over the Grand Canal and in front of you the main vaporetto (water bus) yellow stop called "Ferrovia" (meaning railway station), you have here the ticket booth, for single, daily, 3 days, weekly tickets. You have 3 main vaporetto stops in the Santa Lucia railway station all called "Ferrovia" depending on which vaporetto number you take and which directions you go to.
From Piazzale Roma to the bed breakfasts : bed breakfasts "Locanda Salieri" is situated just 3 minutes walking distance from venice Piazzale Roma. Piazzale Roma is the Main parking for cars, terminal for busses and taxis and has it's vaporetto stop (water bus) called "Piazzale Roma". To go to the bed breakfasts "Locanda Salieri" from Piazzale Roma, we suggest you to follow the red arrows in our well detailed.

To go from the venice Santa Lucia Railway station to the bed breakfasts "Locanda Salieri" :
1) By vaporetto : The vaporetto crosses the Grand Canal from the "Ferrovia" (railway station) to "Piazzale Roma". There is only 1 stop , takes 5 minutes, ask for the "traghetto" ticket (special price for just crossing over), cost of the ticket 1,80 per person and 1,80 Euros per luggage if rigid and bigger then 50cm x 50cm. Hand luggages like trolleys and soft bags don't pay. If interested in using the vaporetto for more days, ask the personnel of the ticket booth before taking your one way ticket. If you are going to take the vaporetto often, this will save you money if you take a day, 3 days, 7 days ticket or taking a ticket combined with the entrance of the museums (venice Card) for 1 or more days : For more information look at : venice Card
2) By foot : If you do not have too many luggages, we suggest you walk to the bed breakfasts "Locanda Salieri". It will take you 10 minutes walking normally. You need to cross the Grand Canal passing over the Ponte Dei Scalzi bridge and then follow the arrows our well explained map. After the Scalzi bridge, you will not have any other bridges to cross, it is a big one, but the only one! Once on the other side, at the bottom of the bridge, turn right and go straight on leaving the Grand Canal on you right until you arrive at the foot of a little bridge. Do not go over the bridge but turn left just before it and follow the Canal dei Tolentini leaving it on your right. Go straight on, even if the canal curves, follow the curve right and then an elbow left : there you will arrive in Canal del Gaffaro (our canal!). You are now in Fondamenta Minotto - 30 meters down the street and we are on your left.

From Tronchetto, take the vaporetto to Piazzale Roma. (arrives from your right and goes to your left looking at the canal - be careful!) Only 1 stop, takes 5 minutes, cost of the ticket 3,50 Euros per person, and 3.50 Euros per per luggage if rigid and bigger then 50cm x 50cm. Hand luggages like trolleys and soft bags don't pay .
